5 Ways To Prevent Digital Eye Strain




Optimize Your Screen Settings
Lower the brightness of your screen and adjust text size so you’re not squinting. Also, consider installing F.LUX which adjusts your monitor display settings automatically.  


Try Eye Exercises
Every 20 minutes look away from the screen at an object at least 20 feet away, for a total of 20 seconds. This reduces fatigue by relaxing the focusing muscle.


Keep Your Eyes Moist
People blink less frequently when working at a computer, thus their eyes dry out quicker. Blink more or get some artificial tears (redness relief drops are different!).


Limit Your Time In Front Of Screens
By far the most obvious yet difficult is just lessening your time in front of the screen. Luckily both Apple and Android have settings you can use to track usage and assist you in looking away.


Get Some Computer Glasses, Duh
